Introduction:

A unique and pioneering dual degree program in Technology and Management that presents Industry with ready to deploy Techno Managers who understand business and technology equally well and are hands on to provide the much needed integrated approach to problem solving particularly to high tech businesses today. Institute's efforts have been well acknowledged by the Industry that has resulted in 100 % placement from the very first year which has only improved both in terms of roles and packages offered to our students as we now are completing third year of running successful placements activity.

Course Brief:

The Vision of NMIMS is to be a world-class center of excellence in management learning and innovation driven by social sensitivity and state of the art technology. To better understand the Industry requirements, we had conducted an in-depth study and had interactions with a cross section of industry leaders. These indicated that managers in the industries would be more effective with a strong foundation in the concerned engineering discipline. By integrating engineering and management in one single capsule to address a major industry requirement programme, MBA (TECH) programme was launched by NMIMS in the year 2004, which was the first of it's kind in the country.

The curriculum covers engineering courses in selected disciplines and the management courses relevant to that technology area. It is an integration of technology and management with the higher proportions of Technological inputs in the initial stages and moving towards “Technology Management” in the later stages of the course.

The BBA curriculum is designed to provide industry with young managers for entry level positions for their first experience in a corporate role. The curriculum as currently envisaged, offers students a choice of specialization in marketing and/or finance roles in the 3rd year of their program.

In the ongoing saga of evolutionary development that is NMIMS, it added another chapter in 2007, by establishing the Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce, an attempt to emulate its path breaking endeavours in other fields of education to undergraduate business education.

The basic structure and curricular pattern and pedagogy of undergraduate education had hardly undergone any significant change in the last 60 years – and the Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce brought with it a breath of fresh air into the stale world of rote learning and outdated subject matter.

Course Brief:

The emphasis of the course is to impart to the students specialized skill sets in the areas of finance, accounting and taxation with a view to careers in financial services.
